PA State Capitol
For over 20 years, Albert Michaels has been the primary restoration and conservation firm for the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building--a building that was designated a National Historic Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service in 2006.
Our work has included the restoration and/or conservation of the Senate Chamber and Ante Rooms, the House of Representatives gallery, the Supreme Court chambers, the House and Senate Caucus chambers, the Governor's Reception Room, as well as the numerous private legislative offices, public corridors, entry vestibules, and portions of the majestic Main Rotunda. In addition, Albert Michaels conserved the portraits of Pennsylvania governors, lieutenant governors, and Supreme Court judges, as well as created a comprehensive historic paint analysis report of the historic finishes throughout the Capitol building.
